School & Teacher Grants
PAEF believes in creating dynamic learning opportunities for students in our community. From field trips to performing arts to innovative classroom experiences, the Foundation supports programs for all grade levels across the district.
Since 1991, we have funded hundreds of trips to museums, performances, and government facilities, like the Clallam County Courthouse and the Washington State Capitol so students can see our government in action and learn key citizenship lessons.
PAEF also supports exciting STEM programs, allowing our students to experiment in engineering and design, attend University of Washington symposia on a variety of topics, and learn about what it takes to care for aquatic wildlife at local and Puget Sound aquariums and zoos.
Port Angeles’ visual and performing arts programs are among the best in the region, with students showcasing their talents throughout our state as well as on the national stage. The Foundation has been there every step of the way, supporting our students with grants to help fund performances, collaborations, and workshops designed to foster the imagination and refine performance skills.
Have a Great Idea for an Educational Experience?
Port Angeles School District teachers, school administrators, paraeducators, and Parent/Teacher Organizations (PTOs) are encouraged to apply for a grant. School & Teacher Grants support creative and innovative ideas that enhance learning and benefit students both in the classroom and beyond.
The School & Teacher Grant application opens August 28, 2026 and is due October 1, 2026, by 4:00 PM at the Port Angeles School District Office (Lincoln Center).
All application fields must be completed to be considered. The application must also be signed by the applicant, school principal, and PASD Superintendent or designee.
Please download the application as a Word document. The form allows you to type your responses directly into the application. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
Welcker Reimbursement Grant
Thanks to a generous donor, the Port Angeles Education Foundation has funds available to reimburse out-of-pocket expenses for essential classroom materials or equipment when no funding is available from the district, school budget, or PTO.

Non-Profit Partnership Grants
The Port Angeles Education Foundation welcomes partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students in Port Angeles public schools.
Requests may include financial or in-kind support, letters of endorsement, and other forms of creative and collaborative partnership. Funding is generally intended for use within a single school year and is not intended for ongoing expenses unless approved at the time of application.

During the 2026–27 school year, we invested $76,192 in 57 projects across the district, helping bring new opportunities, experiences, and resources into classrooms and schools.
From literacy programs and technology to performing arts, science equipment and field experiences, physical activity, cultural studies, and social-emotional learning, these grants help educators inspire curiosity, creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning. Together, we’re helping ensure students have the resources and experiences they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
The Rich Boyd Grant for the Arts is helping to provide a trip to Seattle for kindergarteners to attend a Seattle Children’s Theater performance. Many Port Angeles kids have never crossed the Hood Canal bridge or ridden a ferry. (ON HOLD)
The Patti Reifenstahl Memorial Fund provides swimming lessons to fourth graders at Jefferson Elementary School. Students walk to William Shore Aquatic Center to learn water safety and how to swim. (ON HOLD)
The Trudy Kindler Native American Studies Fund is supporting projects across the Port Angeles School District to promote understanding of traditions, values, and beliefs of Native cultures.
The Joe Glatz “Rocket Man” grant provides funding for Hamilton Elementary 3rd and 5th graders to build and launch model rockets.
